The Mehlville School District Facilities Steering Committee held a series of meetings last spring and fall to review completed facility projects and identify future improvements to best support students. More than 80 people participated in the committee and hundreds more provided feedback through a survey. Participants toured several schools, learned about recently completed projects and provided recommendations that have informed the development of a capital facilities plan for the next 3-5 years.

Mehlville School District students continue to make gains on Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) tests throughout most grade levels and subjects. In 2025, the Mehlville School District saw more students scoring advanced or proficient on Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) tests across almost all grade levels and subjects.

The Mehlville School District Board of Education voted unanimously Aug. 21, 2025, to place a levy on the November 4, 2025, ballot that would not increase the current tax rate. Called Proposition A, the levy would fund the upkeep of school roofs, buses, parking lots, technology and safety systems, and HVAC – preserving and protecting district facilities for generations of students.

Four Mehlville School District citizens have filed their candidacy for two positions on the Mehlville Board of Education. Both positions are three-year terms. The following information was provided by the candidates. District staff do not edit their responses. Candidates are listed as their names will appear on the ballot.

Summer Session

Mehlville School District will offer its free Summer Session program for all children entering kindergarten through 12th grade, June 2-27, 2025. Registration opens March 3 for grades K-8 and March 25 for high school. Registration instructions will be provided at bit.ly/msdr9summersession.

n 2024, the Mehlville School District saw more students scoring advanced or proficient on Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) tests across almost all grade levels and subjects.

The district showed the most improvement in middle school math, high school government and seventh-grade English language arts.

Our students do unbelievable things everyday, and I am so lucky to get to experience this as I visit our schools. I believe more and more with every passing day, that this is an amazing school district and an unbelievable community. We cannot provide the education for our students at the level we do without community support, and for that I am grateful.

Candidate filing for Board of Education

Any person wishing to file for the Mehlville School District Board of Education may do so at the St. Louis County Board of Elections, 725 Northwest Plaza Dr., St. Ann, MO 63074. Filing will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2024, through Tuesday, December 31, 2024, during regular office hours 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. December 31, 2024, the office will close at 5:00 pm.  They will be closed on December 25, 2024. Please check the county website for any additional dates they may be closed.

Learning in the Mehlville School District isn’t confined to the four walls of our classrooms. Many of our teachers are working to provide students with unique learning experiences using outdoor classrooms on our campuses.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Mehlville School District can use up to five virtual learning days if our schools close due to snow or inclement weather. If more than five weather closures occur, the district will use traditional snow days.

Visitors to Point Elementary School must now enter this secure lobby and speak to a staff member before they're granted access to the rest of the school. 

Mehlville School District students had safer school entrances and more comfortable classrooms at the start of the 2024-2025 school year due to summer construction. Several schools received new security entrances, while others received HVAC upgrades and roof replacements.
